Vision, Mission, and Beliefs
In our vision we see school, home, and community working together to pursue the common task of learning. Teachers will have the time, will, and resources to provide for individual differences while maintaining high expectations and standards. Children will be motivated to love learning and become life-long learners.
We at Tatamagouche Elementary School are committed to establishing an enjoyable, positive learning environment where children grow academically, physically, emotionally, and socially.
Everyone is able, valuable, and responsible
Everyone should develop respect, values, and responsibility.
Children should be provided with opportunities to develop thinking and decision-making skills.
All children require opportunities to develop and mature socially.
All children deserve to receive attention for both strengths and weaknesses, through consistent, frequent feedback.
All children can learn; children learn in different ways.
Teachers need to provide an environment which leads to the development of full academic potential.
The teacher is the facilitator who provides a caring and inviting place where the children will be happy, comfortable, and free to take risks in learning.
The education of the child encompasses the community, the home, and the school.
